Cecilia and some boys of the Italian Youth Panel
On 15 and 16 November was held in Perugia, on the occasion of World Diabetes Day and the cycling tour organized by Cycling and Diabetes, the Youth Panel. Since just age, I was able to join the group only on the latter occasion.
I was greeted warmly by both the young group (Simon, Christina, John, Alexander, Rita, Mark, Mario, Joseph and others who unfortunately could not come, but I hope to know soon) The board is composed by Guido Seu , Aurora Ketmaier, Caesar and Mark Mason Peruffo.
On 15, after the reception and a meal more than ample, we have discussed various projects that we intend to achieve, but above all he talked about the day's program follows: we will be present at the start of cycling around, the village of diabetes, putting in available to those who need help, advice or an opinion, giving information and disseminating the work that underlies the project Youth Panel, the knowledge of diabetes. For the first time we can talk about boys and make them talk about us, our principles and our experiences of children with diabetes!
Soon after we went to the presentation of the village, where we were officially presented. In the evening we toured the beautiful (and very cold !!!!) city of Perugia.
On the morning of 16, after the departure of the cyclists, we had a chance to talk among ourselves and deal with other people they interviewed some of us was really exciting! In the afternoon we said goodbye, giving us an appointment for 2009, with many proposals and programs for the coming year!
