The wheels of cyclists with diabetes are still hot: Sunday, July 26, 2009 was during the 4th Italian Championship cyclists with diabetes. The event, which is also called Changing Diabetes Trophy was held in Urbino in conjunction Straducale the prestigious long distance race along the route average.

In a special historical background and artistic departure was triggered at 8:20 for the 41 competitors with diabetes Championship Road Race from all over Italy. The route of the race proved tough. From the start the pace was maintained and after a few short tears we arrived at Monte Nero formidable: more than 13 km climb that have climbed along the curves, making a significant selection among cyclists. Arriving finally at the top of a long descent we have launched in the second half of the race, a path characterized by relatively quiet: but the fatigue in my legs was because a lot of climbing just ended, and then also any short slope or hill was still very challenging.
Finally, after much hard work and after more than 123 km very difficult, yet another long pull uphill to arrive here on cobbles in the center of Urbino, who has completed this great day for the diabetes and sport: emotion and happiness for this great company has filled the hearts of all us cyclists to the finish, but excited also our companions and supporters. The race was long: almost all have spent more than 4 hours on a bike.

The rankings have crowned the young outsider as the new Italian Champion Paolo Cravanzola absolute cyclists with diabetes, which marked an important benefit. A short distance is reached according to ex-champion Diego Franceschini 2007 (first in M2), while on the podium in third place came Scarpellini Titian (sample M4). Among women, the Italian Champion is Jessica De Lazzari. In the category of younger, Master Sports, the new Italian champion Tobias De Vincenzi is immediately followed by this writer, Simon Donadello. Hello yet another successful sport for people with diabetes has proved once again fondmentale.
On this occasion the players because obviously prevailed at the end of 123 km was a tricolor shirt as a prize, but at the same time has enhanced even more the message that all together we managed to give every time around these events we participated to show us to prove that there are limits even for us, just a little care in managing the values and power, according also to the difficulty of the trail.
Thanks to all without exception even to those people who had to give up to God, we will have other opportunities to meet and live beautiful moments of sharing and discussion to improve our day everyday.

Participation in a sporting event of this caliber is definitely a light that lights up the eyes of all diabetic cyclists. We all know that around Italy there are many diabetics who practice sport at competitive level and it would be nice if in the future, overcome shyness, all of these athletes could participate in the Italian Championship Cycling & Diabetes. Get out!
