Missing a month to the World Diabetes Day 2009

We have now. Between exactly one month, November 14, 2009 will be celebrated around the world World Diabetes Day. On this blog we talked about often: for example, see this previous article .

Manca poco alla Giornata Mondiale del Diabete del 14 novembre 2009

Like every year people with diabetes can be heard loudly, with their testimonies and demands, their problems and hopes. The World Diabetes Day, sponsored originally by the IDF today is a celebration officially recognized by a UN resolution, and enjoys the patronage of many local, national and international, with a spread in all countries of the world.

Many initiatives planned to bring to the fore some important issues: the prevention, treatment and rights of diabetes. A local associations organize thousands of gazebo and meeting places in city squares to disseminate correct information among the people and to test blood sugar levels by making screening. Coordination with local authorities will be illuminated in blue hundreds of monuments to attract attention because of the color of diabetes, or are organized walks along the city streets with banners and balloons blue. All this will happen in Italy for many years at the forefront of these activities in support of diabetes, although some activities may be postponed to Sunday 15 for organizational convenience.

Many events will be proposed to transmit positive values that motivate many people with diabetes. For example, on November 15 in Perugia again the ride will be dedicated to diabetes cycling: Cycling & Diabetes Associates along with many other supporters also passing through an impressive journey to Assisi. Even there I had attended last year (see the ' article ) supporting the importance of exercise in diabetes.

This year I will not be in Perugia, but will attend the World Diabetes Day in Rome, where 13 to 15 November there will be celebrations and activities with the group of the Youth Panel, which brings together children with diabetes from all over Italy, representing a great opportunity to coordinate initiatives of youth.

The International Committee of the World Diabetes Day provides guidelines for the World Day, in particular from this year until 2013 the theme will be that of prevention and education of diabetes. It must also never forget that diabetes is another plague on society's poorest countries, who need practical help and relief.

Help us to know the World Diabetes Day everywhere, even on the internet, spreading his symbol, the blue circle: download the logo .

Anyone who may wish to propose on this blog the activities taking place in their city, or share your ideas, expectations and considerations about this event. All that remains to wish good work to all those who are engaging in voluntary associations and various projects, to organize a better World Diabetes Day. We hope that it will bring positive results for the lives of millions of people with diabetes worldwide.

    Hello Simon!
I decided to "smear" and I leave a mark in this place.
My message is simple: I want to congratulate you for the site and the beautiful results you're getting!
It 's really hard to make their voices heard and to obtain a minimum of credibility and trust in a place so crowded and chaotic as the internet.
If we're slowly succeeding means that your mission awareness is distinct from not only the quality but also for the honesty and simplicity (not to be overlooked factor in the net ...).
    So that's it.
Oh well a greeting from more pain in the ass of your classmates, who understands little of diabetes there is nothing and who loves the chocolate ...

Flower Hello, thank you for this nice comment: you said really nice things. I am very pleased to know that my messages can also reach people directly involved. I hope to continue to pursue my little project. Thanks again, back to visit again! We'll see ... :-)
