Simone

My name is Simone Donadello, I'm 21, live in Mantua and study physics at the University of Trento. Since very young I have always practiced sports, especially cycling, which gives me great personal satisfaction, even with participation in competitive cycling races and triathlons.

Just exercise helped me to deal with the diagnosis of diabetes mellitus type 1, in 2004. After this debut I've known many people in Italy and around the world, who gave me the opportunity to get the full experience in the field of diabetes, to travel, to treat my personal training, but above all to learn to live peacefully with the diabetes itself, beyond the daily injections of insulin: I want to be helpful to others also means sharing everything this blog.

I am part of Novo Nordisk International Youth Panel and the similar Italian Italian Youth Panel project, collaborating with the DAWN Youth Project. Participate in the activities of various local associations of patients, and are writing all'ANIAD, Diabetic Athletes Association. Together with a small group of friends I have experienced great cyclists riding experiences: together we founded the group Cycling & Diabetes, using sport as a vehicle for messages about diabetes.

Diabetes also affects my emotional sphere: I agree with and live with Cecilia. So in a sense, the diabetes itself has given us the wonderful opportunity to meet and know each other.
